Welcome to Bali
Bali is called the Island of the Gods. It is a very rich place in many aspects. Nature is rich. When you drive a little bit outside of Denpasar you will see trees which seem to be a small ecosystem. These trees are considered holy by the Buddhist and Hindu religion. The volcanoes and rice paddies are other natural beauties. The green of the rice fields is the “greenest” you might have ever seen. It is like medication for eyes which are used to too much computer work and the grey of many Western cities.

The Balinese Sea is blue as you might have expected. Michael wonders sometimes why it is so blue. Coming down from the hills of Tirtagangga, approaching the dive sites of Tulamben the water is incredibly blue. For people who love the sea it is hard to resist this color. If you love snorkeling or diving you want to get in. You gear up and float over a swarm of Jacks if you are snorkeling or you might hover motionless almost as a fish among other fish if you are a diver.
